The Five Most Disturbing Things About a Benny Hinn Miracle Service

The Five Most Disturbing Things About a Benny Hinn Miracle Service

There are a lot of things you should try at least once in your life — skydiving, eating some exotic delicacy, traveling alone. Let me give you one thing not to add to that list: attending a Benny Hinn Holy Spirit Miracle Service.
I recently went to one in New York. Before going, I knew little about Hinn — a man who’s worth some $42 million — other than that he’s a big-deal televangelist among countless charismatic Christians. As someone who’s fairly unfamiliar with that sphere of Christianity, I was mostly just wary of being in a crowd of people speaking in tongues and being slain in the Spirit.
But that turned out to be the least uncomfortable thing about the service. What did happen was so much more upsetting, difficult, and unnerving. If you ever go, here are five unsettling things you’ll experience . . .

Televised Wolves Investigated

Recently, the televised miracles of wolves fleecing the flock have been investigated. Watch this report:

Televangelist Benny Hinn Heckled at Airport ‘World’s Greatest Scammer’

Signs + Wonders + Dollars = Wolf Tracks

Requiring a Sign

Benny Hinn is a pastor and evangelist known worldwide for his healing ministry. He is a best selling author and a household name among believers and non-believers alike. He is a true master at placing emphasis on personal experience during worship services. Love or hate him, Benny is a unique character unlike any we know. Hinn’s worldwide organization is big and depends heavily on “miracles, signs and wonders” to finances his healing ministry. While the faithful support his onstage antics and partake in falling under the anointing, others remain convinced he is a fraud and rank him with the other mega-church swindlers. While there are many issues with his ministry, perhaps most disturbing is the untold number of innocent people who travel long distances in hope of a miracle. In most if not every instant, these travel-weary believers return home having their hope give way to despair and their faith, in many cases, give way to doubt.

Benny Hinn Asks Sheep for 2.5 Million Dollars

Benny Hinn Asks Followers for $2.5 Million to Get Out of Debt
Christian Post

Televangelist Benny Hinn has asked supporters of his ministry for $2.5 million in donations, which he says an anonymous donor will match dollar by dollar to help him get out of debt.

“God wants your ministry to be completely out of debt, and I want to plant an anointed seed that will help you take a giant step toward becoming totally debt-free!” says the anonymous man, whom Hinn calls a “long-time and beloved” friend.

“God has laid it on my heart to plant a seed of $2.5 million into your ministry, but God only wants me to make this gift if the ministry partners match the amount within 90 days! I feel so strongly that He wants them to be part of the supernatural wealth transfer that is coming to every believer who will obey God’s Word,” the man reportedly adds.

BENNY HINN’S SON ARRESTED FOR ASSAULTING MAN DURING BRAZIL EVENT, “LARGE SUM OF MONEY” MEANS NO CHARGES PRESSED

Evangelist Benny Hinn is known for his massive “healing” crusades which are held all over the world. Most recently, Hinn traveled to Brazil, where Benny Hinn Ministries (BHM) reports that “an amazing revival” is taking place.
During the 16 February crusade in Manaus, however, it is reported that Benny Hinn’s son, Joshua, was arrested, along with two of Hinn’s bodyguards, for assaulting a deaf man who tried to approach the stage …

A Letter to Mr. Todd Bentley’s fans

Letter to Mr. Todd Bentley’s fans (should there be any left)

The watchmen have been sitting on the sidelines, waiting, hoping, praying. Most unfortunately, what we are beginning to see saddens us greatly. Not only has Mr. Bentley been taken under the wings of Rick Joyner, but slowly, subtly, he is winning back the trust of the shaken sheep. Therefore, it is necessary for this sheep to step back into this blog for a brief moment and write an open letter to the fans of Todd Bentley. Since Wolf Tracks still receives a steady amount of hits every day, my hope is that someone who is unaware of the spiritual wool that is being pulled over their eyes will read this and be led to the truth.

To the dear sheep who are following Mr. Todd Bentley,

Do you believe that this ‘anointed prophet and healer’ who fell into grievous sin last year is now being restored? Have you been told that his ministry will be put on hold until his restoration process is complete and he is ready to come back? Have you been told that he has repented and is making things right? And have you looked closely to see what the restored Mr. Bentley looks like thus far?

In regards to his ministry being put on hold, the truth is that even though Mr. Bentley is not speaking publicly yet (other than the Morning Star restoration video clips) his new ministry (Fresh Fire USA) is up and running. Not only is he teaching how to restore your spiritual prime from his website (as if that is something ‘you’ can ‘do’), right now his website is promoting his ‘August teaching bundles’ and his ‘September healing bundles.’ His old books are also being sold on-line. [ See here:
http://www.freshfireusa.com/store/index.php/books/todd-s-books.html ]
This includes the ones about his miraculous journey and making the kingdom real in his life. Also on the website, Mr. Bentley has recently given his followers an update on his ‘great’ enjoyable summer, and says he is not in ministry right now (meanwhile he sells all his ‘ministry stuff’). [ See: http://www.freshfireusa.com/store/ ]

Does this make sense to you?

On his website/blog he gives a summer holiday update where he tells of his homesickness for Canada…

“New York actually opened a Tim Horton’s coffee shop. I was so excited that I had to visit the shop myself and prove it true. It was a real Canadian Tim Horton’s coffee shop. Curing my Canadian homesickness, I got my usual; double-double coffee, Tim bits and a Boston crème donut. Don’t worry! It was my cheat night.”
-Todd Bentley blog, New York City
http://www.freshfireusa.com/blog/?p=20

Cheat night? What a poor choice of words, unless his followers have so quickly forgotten about the ‘cheating’ that occurred while he was doing ministry on stage every day during the Florida “revival”, possibly even during the same month he brought his sick wife Shonnah and his children onto the stage and introduced them to the T.V. fans.

There are various other articles on both the website and the blog now, written by Mr. Bentley. As you browse and read them, you may be thinking that he sounds so mature and learned as he quotes Oswald Chambers and the Bible, as if he’s had his season with sin and he’s all grown up now, and it’s all okay. Do you believe him when he talks as if he knows, and is so near to, the Holy Spirit, while in the same breath he throws in a good word for false prophet Benny Hinn and tacks on a plug from his ‘ministry team’ for his old soaking CD ? (See here):

“Knowing who He is requires spending time in His presence and getting to know Him on an intimate level. It is not at all unlike living with a person, such as a wife, husband, or sibling. It is a partnership and a fellowship; we confide, make decisions, encourage, and champion each other! We eat, sleep, talk and have fun together; such is my relationship with the Holy Spirit” – Todd Bentley

http://www.freshfireusa.com/articles/34

This point might cause one to wonder which wife Mr. Bentley is comparing the Holy Spirit to, since he now is married to wife number two.

Another item his website is selling is something called the ‘healing school manuals.’ [ See here:
http://www.freshfireusa.com/store/index.php/books/manaul.html ]
Are the precious gifts of the Holy Spirit something to be merchandized or taught? Does God not give His gifts to those who love Him for free? Why is Mr. Bentley selling manuals on how to learn healing, if it is a gift from God?

Oh, but he said he is not in ministry right now. Yes, we forgot.

So is this why he is also selling books by other teachers and prophets on his website? [ See here:
http://www.freshfireusa.com/store/index.php/books/other-s-books.html ]
These include Patricia King and James Goll, TD Jakes, John Crowder and the new mystics, Kim Clement, and even John and Paula Sandford, who tapped into the Occult for their inner healing techniques. Todd Bentley’s website is also selling soaking music, as previously mentioned, to bring you into another realm through those portals that he so often taught about, where he g0t beamed up to have conversations with his angels and another Jesus with brown Bambi eyes.

Through this so called restoration, has he renounced any of these teachings and associations with snake oil salesmen and false prophets and unbiblical teaching? Has he publicly confessed? Has he made himself accountable to God alone?

While we can not judge his heart, we can see his actions and his choices, and we do know that he has put himself under the authority of Rick Joyner, the “inaccurate prophet” who has often made prophetical “mistakes” and values his claims of revelation knowledge above scripture. It is under this man that Todd Bentley is to be ‘restored’ at Morning Star Ministries.

The Bible explicitly warns us of this.

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.” 2 Peter 2:1

If, after reading this, you still want to follow Todd Bentley, please consider this. When a man falls into grievous sin, if his heart is truly after God, like King David, will he not bow the knee to his Holy God and take his rightful position in the dirt, casting all before Him? Should he not weep before the Lord in brokenness and turn from himself? Would he not bare all, and come clean, forsaking all, fearing God and not man, to the point of even giving up trying to save face with his adoring fans? If not, has such a man truly died to himself? Would such a man white wash his current state of affairs and say he gets along with his wife even better now, to make it seem right? The wife he left while in the ‘ministry’? The mother of his children? Is such a man in any position to start teaching God’s Holy Word, or to profit from any previous supposed ministry or service to God? What would show the most respect to our Holy God? What actions would honor His Holy Name?

“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.” Psalm 51:17

And what about those dear people in wheel chairs and on stretchers that came to the healing revival, the ones Bob Jones prophesied would get up on the stage in front of the TV cameras? Yes, the same ones who didn’t make the cut up onto the healing stage in Florida because they were too sick to parade on the platform? And what about their families whose hopes were dashed as they brought them back home in the same condition. What if their faith was crushed because they were told by the flamboyant Mr. Bentley to come down and get some, and they went home without a miracle? Even Todd Bentley’s shocking alchohol consumption (as stated by John Arnott of TACF) problem during these miracle crusades paled in comparison to these signs of a snake oil prophet/huckster whose bouncers passed the bucket every night for more gold. Have those things been addressed, or even confessed? Has this ‘anointed healer,’ whose sick wife was damaging his faith healer stage image, apologized for hurting the sheep and shaming the name of our precious Saviour? Or is it still about lies and money and cheat nights?

Barely a year after the whole mess was quickly tidied up, it appears that he is already profiting from his new ministry (which is supposedly on hold, remember?), thanks to Rick Joyner, the professional false prophecy ‘misunderstanding’ mop up man, for whom professional round table apology public relation sessions have been common place for decades.

So I ask you, all you faithful followers of Todd Bentley – is this what the Bible describes as good fruit, or is this the rotten fruit of the money tree? Do you believe what you are being told? Which shepherd are you going to follow?

“Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” Matthew 7:20

Oh, precious sheep, if you truly belong to God, look to your Good Shepherd. He will never lie, abuse, or use you. He will never ask you to pay for His gifts. His prophecies always come true, because His Word is truth. Ask Him to show you the way, and follow Him today. Turn off the Morning Star webinars and turn to Jesus Christ, the way, the truth and the life. Listen to His voice today.

“TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS, AS WHEN THEY PROVOKED ME.”
Hebrews 3:15

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me” John 10:27

The WoF Wolves

The following is a well researched (8 page) article from The Truth and Discernment Ministry of Victor T. Stephens:

The Word-Faith Movement: Wolves In Sheep’s Clothing

The most rapid expanding segment in today’s modern church age is the Word-Faith Movement. It is this charismatic, yet heretical camp, that is attempting to persuade us that Jesus and His disciples were rich; that poverty and sickness is sin, and that faith is a creative force. Creflo Dollar, Eddie Long, Kenneth Copeland, T.D. Jakes, and Fred Price are among many others who subscribe to these erroneous teachings. This article addresses, exposes, and refutes the unbiblical doctrines of the WordFaith Movement by closely examining the scriptures and contrasting them to Word-Faith theology. In addition to an in-depth analysis, this article contains numerous citations and audio files of the inaccurate and blasphemous statements spewed from Word-Faith teachers.

The Summer Circus Circuit

This past weekend while Todd Bentley was pickling people in L.A., a hypnotist stage show was taking place in Houston, Texas, where people were turned into snakes, dominoes and drunken puppets at the stroke of a famous master hypnotist’s invisible magic wand:

FIRE Falling on Texas (1)

FIRE Falling on Texas (2)

The magician also gave out magic impartations and new assignments, just like his apprentice.

See more of the master magician at his best here:

Master of Suspense

Let the Bodies Hit the Floor

Speaking of apprentices, just recently (last December) this same hypnotist invoked his magic fire on kids (see here). At 8 minutes into the second video, Master Hinn humbly passed on the impartation of his magic mantle to a young boy, telling him that this was a moment he would never forget, an event that will be recorded and written in the history books of heaven…(oops, it must have just been symbolic, because he took back his expensive Armani ringmaster’s/magician’s jacket.)

You never know when the world travelling circus ciruit will show up in your town. Sadly, there will always be gullible sheep flocking to the big tent.

Great Revival or or Biggest Deception?

Roger Oakland speaks on Charismatic Deception in this 10 minute video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVuQFPhRs3E

Also discussed are the Toronto blessing and Benny Hinn. At the 5 minute mark, Roger Oakland talks about Che Ahn – Todd Bentley’s friend. Che Ahn was recently up on the stage at the Florida revival, which can be seen here:

Che Ahn on Todd Bentley – a double portion of William Branham’s anointing

Che Ahn wrote a book about the charismatic revival called Into the Fire, how you can enter revival and catch God’s Holy fire. On page 22 of the book Che Ahn states:

“Although many have found this movement controversial, I have maintained it is either the biggest deception to hit the Church in the history of the Church or it is the beginning of a great revival.”

In the above video, Roger Oakland explains that there are two positions. One says this is evidence of the great revival. The other position is that this is part of the great deception. Many of the people who are falling for this so called revival love Jesus and are willing to do anything for him, but they refuse to read the Bible and know the truth. If you don’t know the truth, how will you recognize the counterfeit?

Serpent Tracks

Here is a MUST SEE video:

The False Revival (comparison)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtVGxJU-j2I

This 6 minute youtube video by Let Us Reason contains clips comparing the spiritual manifestations of other religions and the new false revivals taking place inside the church. Watch as Todd Bentley, Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, and other false teachers mock God and spread their doctrines of demons to the innocent and unwary.

Watching this video certainly makes it obvious, doesn’t it? I’ve seen many of those clips on other videos, but to see them all together is very effective and disturbing. There can no longer be any doubt that this is the same kundalini serpent power seeking and finding willing vessels to manifest.

Here is a good article on this subject:

THE STRIKING SIMILARITIES BETWEEN THE “TORONTO BLESSING” AND THE SERPENT POWER OF KUNDALINI
http://www.discernment.org/revival/comparis.htm

Here is a DIRECT QUOTE from a Kundalini Page on the web (caps are my addition):

“Usually the awakening of Kundalini was a process which only occurred after years of spiritual practice and meditation. Yet INCREASINGLY, the Kundalini experience is being reported among people who are not undertaking spiritual practices. Since 1993, when Shared Transformation, an American journal for connecting spiritual awakeners first began, it has been contacted by OVER 700 people in the throes of SPONTANEOUS KUNDALINI AROUSAL (Collie & Kree, 1995). These INCREASED reports of spontaneous Kundalini awakening at this time of PLANETARY UPHEAVAL may be INDICATIVE OF A LARGER PURPOSE AS WORK, the beginning of a planetary wake up call…”

Since reading this article I have sent off several e-mails to various “gurus” and New Age sites describing the activity at Toronto and Pensacola and asking their opinions of them and did they think these could be spontaneous Kundalini Awakenings in these folks. (…)

The above article tells me that what used to take years (I know from experience) now is being “granted” immediately to those not even following the yogic path. These occult folks view this as indicative of a LARGER PURPOSE AT WORK. What and/or whose purpose?

The only answer is the larger purpose is that of Satan and his hosts of seducing and deceiving spirits. Their purpose is to dupe well-meaning Christians via demonic manifestations masquerading as the “work of the Spirit.”

My brothers and sisters there is a GLOBAL DEMONIC DECEPTION being perpatrated on 100,000’s of charismatic Christians. Almost all the Charismatic leaders endorse these manifestations as a true move of the Holy Spirit.

Florida Revival – is there a Kundalini connection?
http://livingjourney.wordpress.com/2008/05/26/florida-revival-is-there-a-the-kundalini-connection/
(has Todd Bentley awakened to kundalini serpent power?)

It may be of interest to note that in a recent interview (see here @13:20), Todd Bentley referred to his salvation experience as his “awakening” or “enlightening.” He says that he got saved because he had an “experience” with God. Was this a Kundalini awakening? How many times have we seen him vibrating and shaking, and spreading it to those he touches? Haven’t we seen enough of this mockery?

Sheep! Wake up and smell the rotten fruit!

“So then, you will know them by their fruits.” Matthew 7:20

The Shepherd will find you

This is a comment that someone left on Wolf Tracks today:

“Last night in Lakeland there was an alter call and many people gave their lives to Jesus. Tell me why satan would like people to repent of their sins and give their lives to Jesus?”

That’s a valid question that many are asking. If the Florida outpouring a false revival, why are people getting saved? The answer is that no matter where you go, if you are truly seeking the Shepherd, He will find you. Read this:

“Why are some people finding Jesus and getting healed in Lakeland (or a Benny Hinn conference or elsewhere that looks suspect)? Because if you go ANYWHERE seeking JESUS, you will be found by Him. But if you go seeking Benny or Todd (or whatever is on/in/around them), you’ll be found by that, too!

Real revival is about repentance and brokenness and humility and people on their face weeping for their worldliness. It’s NOT about laughing or falling down or feathers or gold dust or talking to angels. It’s NOT about performance or impressing people or emotional appeals. It’s about FEAR OF THE LORD and His JUSTICE, not one-sided promises of blessing because God just wants to love on you.”

That was a quote from a very very very good newsletter by Doug Perry that you can read the rest of here:

False Revival vs. True Revival

Tracking Bentley back to Benny

There used to be some videos on YouTube that revealed some very sad issues behind the ministry of Benny Hinn that are very damaging to the body of Christ and the way the world perceives Christians. Due to recent threatened legal action against YouTube, some of these videos have been removed from their site.

Now they are on Google.

You may now track the many faces of Benny Hinn Parts 1-8 here:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5582961561140514506

Sad to say, many sincere people have been deeply influence by the teachings of Benny Hinn. One of those is Todd Bentley. Here are some quotes:

“Todd had not been spiritually born into, or grown up in a religious church environment. The first Christian book he had read was “Good Morning Holy Spirit” by Benny Hinn. Therefore, Todd did not realize that praying and soaking in the Holy Spirit many hours a day was unusual. Like Benny Hinn, as a newborn Christian, Todd had learned that extended times of intimacy with the Lord was normal Christian living.”
-How We Began (http://www.freshfire.ca/index.php?Id=103)

“On Tuesday afternoon, Bentley’s staff talked excitedly about inquiries from NBC and CNN. They said there is interest in the revival from someone affiliated with Benny Hinn, the Christian televangelist and faith healer who was born in Israel to Palestinian-Armenian parents and became a Christian as an adult.

“Wouldn’t it be great if Benny came?” one staffer said.”
– Tampa Tribune – Lakeland Revival Attracting National Attention (http://www.freshfire.ca/index.php?Act=read&status=revival&Id=149&pid=954&bid=923)

“Let me give you a little background. I was impacted years ago, and first introduced to this kind of intimacy, through the ministries of Benny Hinn and Kathryn Kuhlman. They opened the way for me to go beyond the power of God’s Spirit, the gifts or any kind of experience like the baptism of the Holy Spirit.” -Todd Bentley
