Radio interviews – exposing Todd Bentley and Patricia King

Here a two radio interviews worth listening to:

July 19, 2008
Hour 1
Hour 2

“Jan and guests including Caryl Matrisciana, Justin Peters, and Pastor Bill Randles, examine the “revivals” of Todd Bentley. Peters, who was in attendance, gives a rather chilling report. The occult side is exposed and the “revivals” are billed as a counterfeit revival by Jan’s guests. And they encourage all to sound a warning in case people could get caught up in the deception and occult trappings. Numerous sound bytes from the “revivals” are played.”

Here is an audio called SliceCast about ecstatic trance dancing:

The New Apostolic Reformation Part 2: Club Mysterio, Ecstatic Trance Dancing
In this second Slicecast, Jewel Grewe of Discernment Ministries returns to continue discussion about the New Apostolic Reformation. She answers questions about Patricia King’s Club Mysterio, the growing acceptance of ecstatic trance dancing, and the exploding interest in mystical spiritual encounters that take people away from the Word of God.

    Hi SheepleBlogger,

Sad, isn’t it? They are deceived into thinking this is worship.

Hey Jennifer, you found something very significant. They call it Kundalini dance – altered states of consciousness through repetitive dance. They also talk about personal awakening. This reminds me of ‘The Ramp’ (mentioned here yesterday), which is the ‘army of God’ that is arising and a generation that is awakening. Mix that together with Patrica King’s Ekstasis worship, Stacy Campbell’s ecstasy, and the manifestations you see at Lakeland and Rick Joyner’s Morning Star Ministries school, and it looks like one big kundalini awakening disguised as Christianity.

On that Ekstasis Dance website you found they also offer things such as Shamanic healing and chakras. This is witchcraft and kundalini serpent power.

If this is what Ecstatic dance is about (achieving altered states of consciousness through repetition), it doesn’t look like anything Christians should be participating in, even if it has been renamed Ekstasis “worship”.

its true there are extremes in the church circles but judging the ‘extremes’ does not and should not include judging the persons involved. however how much one is deceived there is room for healing and recovery. those who judge anything emotional as satanic are also deceived to some extend. the Holy Spirit works through emotional beings, and not one of us is a stone inside however self-controlled we could be. give those leaders time and test everything. hold on to the good. anyone can be deceived even those warning others, they could be fighting what God is doing but in a way they are not used to. God cannot be put in a box as many think. he is not bound to act only in ways that everybody will understand and identify with. that amounts to making an idol-a god in your own image. one who is predictable and manifests only the way you want! stereotype and religion have no room today. deception is not in the experience but in the product. Jesus said that you will know them after their fruit-character, change for good however much unfamiliar the method used is!

thanks, i checked ur blog out. its a blessing to warn the church, but wathcmen can also go overboard – be like policemen instead. apostles exist but not as the early church ones: Paul is a post resureection apostle and others. they are functionakl aposles not canonic apostles as those with Jesus. to reject apostles and prophets is to also say pastors and teachers cease to exist also. these are all fused together and only God calls and commissions. many apostles have gone out as missionaries in other countries even form america, and are doing a great work as others like evangelists, teachers, pastors etc fall and deceive and others criticize. u are alspo prophets warning the church like HJohn who never did a miracle but was called of God. even the ministry of watchmen need guidance and maturity lest they also mislead the church with their doctinal positions and spiritual warnings.

Sheepyweepy, Those were my thoughts exactly. The DJ at 00:35 – 00:55 even says at that the words they are repeating become one at a “cellular level” in your body and that it’s no longer that you have to study the word but that the infused atmosphere makes the word one with you. If that isn’t new age jargon I don’t know what is. I just want to thank you for this blog. It is very informative and has helped my family come to terms with the truth about the state of the church today.

That is very New Age, you are right.

Thank you for your kind words. This blog has focused on Todd Bentley & Co. (probably too much) but that is only part of the problem with the church today. It all stems from a lack of biblical understanding among the sheep.

    God bless you.

For those interested, someone has put together a youtube on Patricia King’s Ekstasis worship and kundalini dance here:

Also, Deception Bytes has posted on this subject as well:

Why does Jan rip into Todd? I guess she likes to hurt and divide the church more than it already is. She can not experience the supernatural so why not make fun of it and call it it demonic, like she so easily does.

There is a difference between ‘hurting and dividing’ the church and ‘warning and exhorting’ the church, as Paul did, and as we as Christian are all called to do.

The Word of God is the sword that divides truth from error.
